"I do not work to control the wood. I work together with it."
I work with wood as a way of listening. What emerges in my sculptures is not planned in advance.
It comes through a slower process, where form is allowed to appear rather than be forced.
I work intuitively, often in dialogue with silence, resistance, and movement in the material itself.
My practice is rooted in the idea that what we carry internally often takes shape physically, even when it cannot be spoken.
The work becomes a space where that can be encountered without explanation.
I am not interested in perfect forms. I am interested in what feels true.
My background is rooted in Norway, where nature, material, and silence have always been present parts of how I understand form and process.
Today I work from my studio in Sweden, where each piece is developed slowly and individually.
Some works find a place to continue their journey outside the studio.
If a piece speaks to you, you are welcome to get in touch.
